They’re crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside, with a touch of rose water flavor. The cookies are just sweet enough, and completely addictive. This variety has lots of almonds, unlike some with one whole almond or three slices.
Almonds happen to symbolize happiness, prosperity and new beginnings, so Amygdalota cookies are present at most Greek baptisms and weddings.
INGREDIENTS: Almonds, Almond Paste (sugar, water, potassium sorbate preservative), Confectioners Sugar, Egg Whites, Vanilla, Rosewater. If you prefer for me to make them with almond flour send me a message.
STORAGE TIPS: Keep sealed in a bag or in an airtight container. Shelf life: Best one week. Keep in the freezer up to four months or in the refrigerator about two weeks. Of course, they completely safe for months to eat, but you will have to dunk them. Before serving bring to room temperature.CONTAINS: WHEAT, NUTS, EGGS.
